I'm slightly confused, as i have read a few budgie books mentioning briefly about feeding your budgie egg feed, but then i read another book that said only to feed them egg feed when they are breeding? Which one is right, and what is egg feeds purpose?

Egg food is protein which helps birds immensely at all times as protein helps in feather growth as well as all round general health. Some books talk about giving eggfood as a supplement feed for when canaries are feeding chicks.

The essence of it all is...........our birds should be fed the best of the best at all times, not just for breeding. A wide and varied diet.
