Posted March 8, 200916 yr Hi, I'm still learning with mutations but I don't know what this guy is. Please help. Thanks, nitsuD :bluebudgie: [/img] [/img]
March 8, 200916 yr He is an opaline spangle. The opaline gene causes the green to wash through the wing markings like that :bluebudgie:
March 8, 200916 yr If I say light green opaline spangle that would just be copying and pasting so I'll say that he's an opaline spangle that is light green...
March 8, 200916 yr ha ha jimmy thats funny! Yep I agree he's a Light Green Opaline Spangle. Very pretty at that too!
March 12, 200916 yr I' m gonna throw a major curve ball in this and ask.... does this bird have blue under the wings??? Because from the first photo I almost want to say this is a Yellowface Type II Opaline Spangle Sky Blue?????? I am seeing alot of "blue tones" in the rump and under the left wing? IF NOT and I AM TOTALLY WRONG... I agree with the others that this is an Opaline Spangle Light Green. Don't kill me here if my first guess is wrong, it's just a guess based on what I'm seeing. If the experts say otherwise listen to them... not me. Nevermind... don't listen to me... the bird is green, too green to be type II ....? Edited March 12, 200916 yr by chrissy0705
