Posted March 7, 200916 yr okay a friend of mine has a budgie that is is wonderin if he is an olive or a different color. He has the olive chest but his winges are BRIGHT yellow she doesn't have a computer right now so can't show pics or come here herself. It is a male i know that much with a olive colored chest..but his wing color is very yellow i have tried to come up with a picture on my own but just can't seem to get the true color and can't quite find the exact mutation on the web.... best i can show you is this lnk in case it doesn't take you to the correct spot go to the spangle area it's the bird on the left...but the wings are MUCH brighter.......i'd almost call them a lemon yellow http://www.budgieplace.com/colorsguide.html#spangle
March 7, 200916 yr Sounds like an olive clearwing to me. Have a search for clearwings and see if they look like the one you are describing.

March 8, 200916 yr when trying to work out a genetics of a bird a picture of them helps a lot more than a possble looking birds from a website. an Olive bird would have bright yellow markings. as Spangles and Clearwings are mixed up often check them out as a possible match as Dean sugested. can you get a picture of the bird at all?
