Posted March 7, 200916 yr Hi, I have a young female budgie named budget. She's happy enough to roam about the house and return to her cage to sleep & eat. But wow does she get audible when you go to pick her up. Any idea's or do we just let her be? Hoping to buy another budgie soon.
March 7, 200916 yr Hello and welcome Hens have a tendency to squwalk when caught. Its generally a fear thing. she needs to learn to trust you. You can help by offering her millet on your hand etc to help.
March 7, 200916 yr My breeding hens will rip my fingers off if given the chance. Once she is tame she will trust you more and allow you to pick her up.
