Posted March 6, 200916 yr I'm planning on making a new bigger cage for my budgies. I saw some great ones on ebay but unfortunately I can't afford it right now so I thought of making it myself.. its gonna be 60"Wx20"Dx36"H and its gonna look kinda like this: (in size) And I was also planning on making a divider just in case I need it. What kind of wood would be good to use for the frame? and what kind of wire or material would be good to cover the wooden frame that its safe enough for the budgies and the correct bar spacing? Also: How many budgies will I be able to fit in there? and how many on each side if it is divided? I thought maybe 4-6 on each side?

Good idea What kind of wood would be good to use for the frame? Remember budgies chew wood. and what kind of wire or material would be good to cover the wooden frame that its safe enough for the budgies and the correct bar spacing? Aviary mesh...either 12mm square mesh or 12mm by 25 mm mesh Also: How many budgies will I be able to fit in there? and how many on each side if it is divided? I thought maybe 4-6 on each side? YES
