Posted February 27, 200916 yr I am getting a clearwing hen soon from nubbly5 and have been considering joining a club and having a go at breeding some to show(maybe it's all a bit scary) I have pet types at home and have been breeding since last year. My question is what in the show world would be best with a skyblue clearwing? I have a lot to learn about genetics I know and everything else but any help would be appreciated
February 27, 200916 yr Nubbly would be the very best person to ask about breeding your clearwing as she is not only a show breeder of clearwings but also high up the chain in budgerigar clubs....Not to dob her in or anything but she is THE EXPERT to ask. Clubs in Perth are Metro Budgerigar club http://www.metropolitanbudgerigarclub.org.au/ and Southwest Budgerigar Club http://www.swbudgerigarclubmandurah.com/ and Rare Budgerigar Club ( send member budgiebum a PM about the rares http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/index.php?showuser=3892 ) I am in all three clubs. March 2, 200916 yr You are breeding one of the hardest budgie to improve they are beautiful looking budgie. I think you should start with normals and then get some splits going then you be on your way.I bred them 10 years ago when they didn't have greywing in them. Steve
