In order to get a blackface (visual) baby would i have to pair two blackfaces? Is there another way to get babies like this? I was just curious i was reading on this mutation and playing around with the genetics calculator and everythin i paired a blackface to came out split to blackface...and if i found a blackface mutation of course that's what i would want to breed for

Blackface is a recessive gene so it would work just like say the recessive pied gene.

You need 2 Blackfaces to have 100% blackfaces

OR you will need 1 Parent that is a Blackface and 1 Parent split to Blackface

2 parents that are blackface would produce 100% blackface

1 parent that is blackface and 1 parent that is split for blackface would produce 50% blackface

2 parents that are both split for blackface would produce 25% blackface

 

The mutation is so rare that we probably won't have to worry about it anyway!
