Posted February 21, 200916 yr Hello I am considering buying a small aviary to house 2-3 pet budgies (outdoors). Classic Aviaries in Melbourne sell the following which not only appeals but fits in the spot! http://www.classicpetenclosures.com/av3.htm As I am a complete novice at this, I was wondering whether anyone had any opinion on/experience with these cages/manufacturer? The cage has a slide out tray which I imagine would assist the cleaning process? A slide out tray sounds a lot simpler than trying to get in/out of the cage with the possibility of losing budgies out the door! Eek! That would be tragic! Cage is on castors which again, from my point of view would be good, however am happy to hear the opinion of others... My sideway is currently unpaved so having the cage off the ground would save me having to pave/concrete, at least for the time being, yet another plus! Not certain whether the mesh is 'mouse proof'? Any advice from the 'experts' would be appreciated. regards Karen
February 21, 200916 yr It looks good to me. It would definitly fit 2-3 budgies in it. I've never used an avairy like that before but I cannot see anything wrong with it.
February 21, 200916 yr Hi and welcome to the forums. Good on you for doing some research before buying a cage! Looks okay... I'd want to check the bar spacing too though. The only thing I see as an issue, is you'll still have to open the door to feed them, and do things inside the cage. I notice there is a small door and large door... but if they want to get out, they will. You'd need to consider some thing so they can't escape, or wheel them inside when you need to access the inside of the cage. My opinions only. Edited February 21, 200916 yr by maesie
