March 29, 200916 yr You have to keep in mind that even young birds will try and breed if they think the opportunity presents itself. If you are going to put nestboxes in the flights, there needs to be twice as many boxes as there are pairs, and there should be no birds under 12 months old in the flight. Simplest way to get around the age thing is that you only put the nestboxes in there every 13 months. have them in there for 1-2 months, then remove them for 13 months. The problem is that birds do not lay on schedule.

The problem is that birds do not lay on schedule. thanks for the advice dave, i only have 2 couples left in the cage as the others i have removed to smaller cages, i also sold 2 which is good, the 2 couple i got left get along very well dont fight, my green female just had her first lay with 2 eggs but she kicked them out, she has though taken turns with my blue female in caring for the 4 chicks, its soo cute
