Yf2 Grey Green Spangle

Featured Replies

Has anyone got a picture of one?

If it was type too the grey green wouldn't be grey green.. i know that. But is there a colour that might make a bird look grey green if it was YF2?

Does spangle affect the whole body colour of the bird?

I'll explain all this rambling later.. :)

You could not tell the yellow face gene on a green budgie because they always have yellow face because that is the base color of a green budgie yellow. :)

Yeah I know that, it's just.. there is something not right about this cock i've seen.. He has definately got yellow flecks through his body colour.. and there was a YF2 colbalt spanlge hen who also had it.. so is it just cos of the spangle?.. Just thinking cos my YF2 spangle cobalt hen doesn't have it..

It is possibly a YF2 grey cock. YF greys can have a greenish look about them, especially if they are golden face.

This is a picture of a type 2 yellow face opaline grey that looks like a grey green because the yellow has spread. He's quite light because he has no dark factor

I'm already working on it :thanks: I should be able to get one in the next few days.. He belongs to a friend and they are moving away so i'm hoping i can catch up with them again before they go..

The only thing that is making me so unsure is the flecks of yellow through his body colour.. They are very very noticable..

a yellowface can have flecks of yellow when young and moulting into the green look of a type 2.

What is the colouring of the bird on the rump area or around the legs? Also under the wings can help with colour.
