What makes you think Boof is olive instead of grey green ?

The purple cheek patches show that he's olive. A grey green would have grey or blue cheek patches

Neville is right. a grey green has Grey cheek patches.

I expect to see a navy blue tail if he is olive. Has he one ?

i looked at the tail too to see if it was black or blue but the picture is too dark to tell. although looking at the patches they don't give the noramal grey tint as you would see in a grey-green..again could be due to the picture.

Having olive budgies myself, I see the cheek patches of boof in these photos as a dark grey...dark maybe only due to the shadowing on the photo. They do not look violet at all to me.

boof looks like a grey green opaline to me, need to know colour of tail to be precise.

After having a close look at Boof, his cheek patches are more a steel blue than purple. Florrie And Cindy have purple patches. Boof's tail is black.

Does that make him a grey-green?

I have tried to get some better shots.

Just as I thought...YES Boof is a grey green opaline and NOT olive.

He is definitly grey green opaline, if he was olive he would have a blue tail.

Yes boof is greygreen, all head & no body.

I believe Macka is taking about the shape of the bird in regards to showing.

agree with the colour as first thought grey-green
