I was in the process of transferring them from the treatment cage into spare cages and took most photo's whilst transferring them to save time as it was super hot! That is why I am "manhandling" all the birds.

The brown markings on his wings fooled me into thinking cinnamon.

I was going to ask if he could be lacewing and spangle at the same time but realised not visually.

They are very nice healthy birds.

I just looked for any additional pictures of #6 and don't have any showing his markings - not much to see anyway as they are very pale, can also see just a tiny bit of purple in the cheek patches.

 

This lot are my strongest and also noisiest budgies. All are very robust.

As Pearce says...this one

 

 

is grey green not olive.

 

 

and if this one

 

 

hasd a black tail it also is grey green.

This one is a Cobalt Violet they are all either sky, cobalt or mauve and the violet is added factor so they have to be 1 of the blues, he reminds me of my Merlin so I am going to say Violet Cobalt.

parentage is best, maybe Karen knows the parentage

I agree with the spangle and he is definately not cinnamon, but could he also be a clearwing? The body color is very bright..... making me tend to lean to this idea.

The spangle is NOT a clearwing....it is a normal skyblue spangle.

The one on the right is Grey green. The one on the left looks cinnamon to me.

Some nice birds. Did you buy them as a group lot, or from one breeder?

I only bred 2, 4 & 5 and the rest I bought from various sources.

1, 7, 9 & 10 were from a pet produce store and supposedly came from the same breeder who left the fancy and cut their rings off.

 

 

Male number 4 - the sky spangle, is it a normal feature of spangles to have brown wing markings? When he was a chick they were alot darker than they are now.

If they are brown then he must be cinnamon, did you use a flash?

My spangles when they are babies their wing markings are bright, then as they mature they lighten. I'm not sure if its normal but it happens here.

Having had skyblue cinnamon spangles and normal spangles ...that spangle is NOT a cinnamon. The markings on the mask are black and the body colour is full strength.

Someone needs glasses or a monitor adjustment

You are forgetting strength of body colour. This is NOT a cinnamon blue spangle. I will get a photo of one to show you.
