Posted January 28, 200916 yr I'm looking to breed some budgies to get YF because i just love'em and would like to see what mutations to breed with what to get YF offspring. thanks
January 28, 200916 yr I think to get yf you need to start with a yf... or a white faced blue that is a df yf...
January 28, 200916 yr Our Budgie FAQ section is very informational so feel free to read through it under the Mutation Page, if you do a search through the mutation section you will see articles about the YF1 and YF2 gene and many of them . Here is a link where our member's post the pictures of their YF Birds http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/index.php?showtopic=9577 This gene is very easy to breed what is difficult to breed is how intense or how much of the YF2 gene you want to spread on the body (which in the show world is a fault) but for pet budgies is okay because many people like the way it looks.
