Can someone please give me a list of woods i can make a breeder box out of i made this one out of craftwood and then got told that it was toxic to budgies.

Pine or Ply wood. I use Plywood for my nest boxes.

I put my hand up it was me who said "M.D.F. and Craftwood are toxic".....it was on **Liv**'s Tiel forum!

I agree that MDF is toxic. I have seen it used frequently in nesting boxes that are purchased from pet shops too

Ply wood is great. its easy to use and cheap

MDF is dangerous for us to use let alone the birds.

How thick is the ply you use Daz. I got the dimensions off you i thinks Daz and the slide idea off i think Kaz i think!!!

I have been using 9mm cd plywood but have new ideas for a combination of 12mm and 9mm CD plywood.

Do you nail it together or screw it.

I PVA and nail when I make mine

mbf is bad as also and mb is right my bro got arsnic poisioning from working with it

i use chip board boxes just need replacing more often thats all

with a thin ply wood doors

also need replacing often depending on hen

screws are good id go screws but at moment cheat i buy mine for just now

your box is ace but how big is the hole looks small
