Honey has been with us now since before Christmas and I expected from what I had read that she would have molted by now but she only just started a few weeks ago, haha its fun having to clean the floor each day, and she is loosing feathers, but the question I have is.... on her head sticking out from between her feathers all the way from her beak down to her neck are little white thin long tube things, with tiny little fluffy bits on the end, is this just new feathers growing? She looks like a punk rocker budgie.

 

Im sure im worrying over nothing but they look so hideous, poor thing I had to check

That's just the pin feathers growing through. The tubey bits will come off and she'll have beautiful feathers again!! :fear
