how many budgies do you think i could keep in ferplast rekord 4 (60 by 32.5 by 57.5 cm) and in the ferplast rekord 5 (71.5 by 38 by 61.5 cm) thanks.

i have just bought the ferplast rekord 4 and i wouldn't put more than two birds in it.

and the rekord 5 i would perhaps keep up to three in it.

thanks is it a bad idea to keep 3? i always thought they should be kept in 1 or in pairs because they might get bullied? what do you think of the ferplast 4?

hi sky i have the rekord 4 , a blue one. i like the size of the cage but there are a couple of things i don't like. the ladder that comes with the cage has very small gaps between the rungs, my budgie got stuck between these!

because he likes the ladder so much i cut every other rung out of the ladder now he swings thrrough the gaps. for new owners like me there were no instructions with the cage and i used one of the front feeders for water :fear .,untill i came on these forums and read that somebodys bird got stuck and nearly drowned in one of these.

both of these problems are easy to overcome throw away the ladder or keep it out side the cage. and put water in the water container

im quite picky about my cage sizes i wouldnt put 1 bird in the 4 and i would put 2 in the 5 no more then that

hi sky, ive only got buddy in the rekord 4 cage, and sky is in a rekord 3,which i hope to change this weekend because it looks so small against the 4

i would agree with budgeover, i have 2 in the rekord 4 and they have plenty of room.
