Posted January 19, 200916 yr I just been given a budgie, its only young but has all its feathers. I think there is something wrong with it because it can't fly or get to any perches, it just stays on the bottom of the cage. It sleeps majority of the time with its legs sticking out either side of its body. It also lays on its back with its legs in the air and always has its head to one side. Does anyone have any information please.

How can i fix this? Its fixable when discovered in the nestbox at around 10 days to 2 weeks of age. After that its bones set. Too late to fix now without major vet costs. You will have to work out a disabled bird cage and see if you can help it have a better life. Platforms and wide perches not normal perches etc. Edited January 19, 200916 yr by KAZ

Sometimes i think its dead because it looks so bad. Im taking it to the vet on friday.
