I am wanting to borrow/buy 2 show cages for the show which is coming up on the 7th of Feb which I really want to take my birds to.

 

If anyone has any for sale or that I could borrow in VIC, please let me know.

I might have one, depends on how many Budgies I decide to put in will have a think over the weekend and PM you if I have a spare or two

KAZ - no they havent unfortunatly.

Budgies don't just "sit" in the show cage, they need training.

 

your best bet probably would be to join a budgie club and go from there. (if your not a member all ready that is)

i don't know if they let some one who is not a budgie club member show budgie or not

Which birds are you taking? I didn't realise you had bred any yet...

You have to be a member of a club to show your birds and they have to be birds that you have bred, thereis exceptions but I am not sure how it works but I know if you are able to show a bird that was bred by someone else it has to go in open but not many clubs allow you to do this.

 

If you are a member you can get show cages through your club kits are $23.50 plus .89c for drinkers and complete cages with drinkers are $36.00 already to go.

Like here I have 16 cages ready to go wrapped up and put away just for showing, 5 kits I have to make up agghh and 14 show cages I use for training.

The training cages are in use all the time.

 

So if you intend on showing you really need to invest in some cages.

Seeing as youare in Creswick,the Ballarat clubis your closest club,

I think the Feb show is the young bird show,08 rings & to have rings you would have to be a member of a club.

You can only show birds with your rings on.If you meet those rules,I would ask one of your club members,for a cage or two to show your birds.

 

PS Splat that is in the old bird classes.at some shows.
