Posted January 12, 200916 yr I know it's a spangle, but are the wing markings a bit diluted, could it be clearwing, too. Here's the picture
January 12, 200916 yr I'm thinking Sky Blue with a possilbe Violet factor (but Violet is always hard to tell in pics). I think we need to see a picture of it's back (wing and tail feathers) to make a better determination. My guess, and this is just a guess, is An Opaline Greywing Sky Blue Hen??? I'm sure the more experienced members will correct me if I'm wrong, but that is my guess. I don't see the spangle markings... the wings seem more greywing then scalloped like a spangle would be.
January 12, 200916 yr I know it's a spangle, but are the wing markings a bit diluted, could it be clearwing, too. Yes it could be clearwing as well as spangle. Greywing, cinnamon and clearwing all have this effect on a spangle but as the body colour is quite bright I'd say it was clearwing
January 13, 200916 yr But could it be for example cobalt violet greywing? I mean, when the body colour would be excessively strong without the greywing and then with it, look rather normal? Because I can't see the brightness it ought to have, if clearwing. The body colour is rather dull blue.
