How do you clean out an aviary?

Well that probably depends on what you have on the floor of the aviary. I have sand and it's easiest (sp?) for me to sweep all the seed and poop away. Then i just collect the mess with a dust pan and brush and chuck it in the bin.

i dont have one but i think you should sweep, wipe all the poos off the perches and walls and disinfect the floor with avian disinfectant every once in a while. well thats what i would do :fear

Will rocks work as a floor?

Like pebbles? I supose but sand or lino would be cheaper and easier to clean.

Well you need concrete on the floor I clean mine out every day with budgies you must be clean very clean

I have a mice problem and I don?t know why because I clean and pickup all the rubbish and poo

This is why I recommend concrete as mice will find it hard to get thru solid concrete

I?m using gravel at the moment but have concrete on order

Crikey I?m glad Kangaroos cannot fly poo

I can just imagine look out here comes a flock of Kangaroos duck!

Kangaroos wouldn't be as bad as cows or something!
