I just wanted to know how often does a hen come into season???

I know its when her cere is really dark and flaky..... Mine hen was Dark now its lighten right down.... How long does the process of going dark and ready take again

Dark brown and crusty is too far past ideal breeding condition. light tan is perfect for breeding. Hens come and go from condition and they all seem to be different. i have not noticed a pattern at all. some are always in condition, others are only in condition when they are given a nest box.

Some hens are in condition most of the time but breeding condition peaks about every 42 days
