Posted January 12, 200916 yr If I bred a Skyblue/Violet yf1 with a Mauve Normal/Rec. Pied, I'd get %50 YF1 and %50 Normals, right? What colours would they be, Cobalt/Violets? And a Skyblue/Violet Clearflight Pied Opaline Spangle with a YF2 Cobalt/Violet recessive Pied, I'd get %100 split for Rec. Pied, lots of Clearflight Pieds, Spangles, and YF2's, (don't know what percentages) and various combinations of those, and all of them would be either Cobalt/Violet SF or DF, am I right?
January 12, 200916 yr im not great at genetics but i will have a stab at the first pairs possibles . i think you would get yf1s and normals , sky blue , mauves and true violet ( cobolt violet ) . they would be carrying violet factor too if not visibly ( i think ) as for the second pair ive got no idea , pretty babies for sure though and a real mixed lot
January 12, 200916 yr If I bred a Skyblue/Violet yf1 with a Mauve Normal/Rec. Pied, I'd get %50 YF1 and %50 Normals, right? What colours would they be, Cobalt/Violets? You would have 50% Violet Cobalts, 50% Cobalt if the Violet is a Single Factor but if a Double Factor Violet you would have 100% Violet Cobalts. You would get no Sky Blues since the Mauve is 2 Dark Factors and would give each chick 1 dark factor. You would have 100% normals unless the Normal is split to recessive pied and then you would have a 50% chance of Rec. Pieds. 50% YF1 and 50% Normal White Faces And a Skyblue/Violet Clearflight Pied Opaline Spangle with a YF2 Cobalt/Violet recessive Pied, I'd get %100 split for Rec. Pied, lots of Clearflight Pieds, Spangles, and YF2's, (don't know what percentages) and various combinations of those, and all of them would be either Cobalt/Violet SF or DF, am I right? Is the opaline the female if so all the males would be split to opaline but if it is an opaline cock then any opalines would be hens. 50% Spangles, 50% normals Recessive Pied only if the other bird is also split for Rec. Pied and it would then be a 50% chance 50% Clearflight Pieds, 50% Normals Yellowface 2 50% unless Double Factor then 100% single factor YF2 50% sky blues, 50% cobalt Violets 50% chance on either color OR 100% if it is Double Factor Violet on either color okay, and with all these they can be combined mutations example you can have a Clearflight Opaline Skyblue Violet .
