January 20, 200916 yr Is that a bit of apple hanging from the cage in that very last photo? if you mean that yellow bit in this photo....its a budgie I am hanging my head in shame but Dave, you really have to call this Lutino.... Golden Delicious! Its face looks like a bit of core! I better admit to all of you now that I am half Irish, my mum was born there. Edited January 20, 200916 yr by Trish

January 20, 200916 yr I knwe which picture you were talking about as soon as you said it Trish cos when I first scrolled through the pictures quickly I thought I saw an apple too... then I looked at them slower and realised it was a bird
January 21, 200916 yr Author i cannot call a lutino apple. Not right. I can not call it delicious - the last thing i want to encourage is it to be eaten. They are magnificent looking birds Jimmy. I have to seriously evaluate some other birds now.

January 21, 200916 yr Author My sister is about to get an aviary for my nephews, so I am thinking that some can move there, where they can live out their days, but they are still in the family - LOL. You are right, tough love is the mantra of many a show breeder (and that includes me now, even though i have never shown a bird - I am going to need to adjust my info on the left there) lastest update, the new and old birds are all doxy'ed up. I am going to apply the same treatment method for all birds, old and new, so at the end of this, they will all have undergone the same procedure. Since I am putting so many birds into the aviary, I figure that when they are all placed together, then they should all be at the same level. Edited January 21, 200916 yr by Dave_McMinn
January 21, 200916 yr Just want to mention a very nice gesture from Dave...he bought me this little blue budgie hen bred by Fran McLaughl Related closely to this little hen I bought as a 10 week old chick at an auction recently for $25. and now looks like this Hoping the chick Dave bought for me develops just as well....she is going through her first moult. The father of the first blue bird I bought at auction is the grandfather of the little chick Dave just bought for me.
January 21, 200916 yr She looks great Kaz she looks like she has width of face and directional feather, long mask very nice, well done Dave, She looks like she might be better than the older one, Lucky girl Kaz to have 2 real nice hens like that.
January 21, 200916 yr Author My genersoity knows no bounds. It also helps me on restless nights as I think of what I gave up, and i cry myself to sleep - Kaz and Ken were so nice to me it is a token gesture
January 22, 200916 yr Author my birds outside in my aviary cannot see my new birds in the garage, and vice versa, but there is a lot of conversation going on. It can get quite loud here with all the calling out. Oh well, the countdown until the end of quarantine is on. 41 days to go -
