January 15, 200916 yr what is with cities and ferris wheels at the moment? Melbourne just built one in its Docklands precinct... $29 for 1/2 hour... I think you answered your own question JB...........its about the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ 'S
January 15, 200916 yr haha Yeah I suppose I did... but I just don't see the point of them... never have been into ferris wheels though... Now if they all started building massive 7 storey aviaries in the middle of the CBD and had some nice parks surrounding them THAT I would be into
January 15, 200916 yr Author there were people lined up ready to pay money to get on the ferris wheel today Jimmy, so it seems that there are many who disagree with your take on ferris wheels
January 15, 200916 yr Oh I don't doubt that at all Dave, I'm pretty boring when it comes to that sort of stuff.
January 15, 200916 yr Hey Dave love ya beach pics. Your WACA photo a good one but not exactly the WACA mate. That building is the old East Perth Police Headquarters. The lighting towers are all you can see of the WACA from that angle.
January 15, 200916 yr Author Hey Dave love ya beach pics. Your WACA photo a good one but not exactly the WACA mate. That building is the old East Perth Police Headquarters. The lighting towers are all you can see of the WACA from that angle. Â You are right RIPbudgies, that building is not part of the WACA. Look closely everyone... Â Â please note that picture is taken form the car. Â You will see other objects in the picture. The cars in front are not part of the WACA, nor is the bush, nor is the orange witches hat/cone. Â I was driving nearby and saw the light towers. I was making the point that the WACA was over there. Sorry if that posed confusion to others.
January 15, 200916 yr We went to the drive in last night. There was an event with the Cadillac Club where there was a cruise along the coast with the Cadillac Club combined with the Buick Car Club, so Dave and I joined up with that and ended up at the Drive In movies. An interesting line up of cars and some good people. We watched the movie BOLT...which was fun. A nice balmy evening with lovely red and pink streaks through the sky at dusk. Havent been to the drive in for years. I think this was the last drive in left in Perth.  Here are some pics   Morgana - Karen and Ken's Hearse that was our ride for the evening         Great photos - I do like the look of Morgana's rocket motor lights and took a heap of them recently...  and who is that pictured in the distance of the last photo?
January 15, 200916 yr Yep, the last time I went scuba diving was on a charter out of Hillary's marina in Sorrento. Theres an aquarium there too, they tried to talk me into diving with the sharks there... Didn't happen!!
January 15, 200916 yr You wouldn't swim with sharks?? But sharks are so friendly... Â NOPE!! I'll leave that one to Brez!
January 15, 200916 yr  i saw this car the other daywhen i was going somewhere i can't remember, i think i was in Bunbury and it went across the traffic lights, i definitly remember seeing it!

Well sorry if I upset you but at least I didn't get childish about it!!!!
January 16, 200916 yr Author Not upset, nor childish. Much like the great Jerry Seinfeld, this is called observational humour. Sorry if it is not style.
January 17, 200916 yr Looks like you are getting out and about and having a good time. You werent pinching those witches hats were you Lol!! I have seen the pink Cad somewhere before. There are some beauties in that lineup

I am glad I NOW know what the WACA should look like :lol2:  Glad to hear that your "holiday" is going so well for you - have a blast mate you deserve it - your long awaited holiday
January 17, 200916 yr Author I was a bit sarcastic in my reply to RIPbudgies and I did apologise in a pm. I thought I should also apologise in a public forum. I did not mean to insult her and if I offended, let me publicly repeat my apology. Sorry.
January 18, 200916 yr Not to worry Dave, we know you didnt mean anything by it. Love a bit of sarcastic humour it makes me feel right at home Lol
January 18, 200916 yr Dave all I was trying to do was to point out that when you post a photo and simply entitled it "The WACA" it gave anybody who does not know the impression that the building in the foreground is the WACA which of course it is not. This is a public forum and as such photos will get lifted and can end up anywhere with the wrong caption attached. The net is a big place. It can be a great source to learn some really cool stuff. On the other hand a lot of misinformation is also available. Â Dave I accept your apology and I am not a big fan of Jerry Seinfeld. I always remember a saying I grew up with: "Sarcasim is the lowest form of wit". Although it has an excellent use as a tool for the detection of dementia I personally have never been a big fan it it.
January 18, 200916 yr Just had my visit from Dave and Kaz He's sooo lovely!!!! And absoloutly hilarious! Both Bob and I very much so enjoyed the visit!
