Poor bugger is going to be exhausted Lol. Sounds like a terrific trip

What country town ya taking him to?

We will be in Gingin :fear

YAY!! you finally made it!!! :(

its so funny how people look at you in the hearse. especially considering its left hand drive. as a passenger, you gotta try looking asleep or something else funny that makes other drivers freak out because they think you are the driver :rofl: :rofl:

Glad to hear you made it safe and sound! Look forward to the pictures and stories of your travels :(

Glad to see ya made it Dave. Whats going on in Gingin. I myself will be in Cuballing that day.

Could be worse Dave- it was 46 here today. Haha Liv got a picture of you terrorising the Perth drivers Lol

We look forward to some pics of the birds - and the hearse!

Well, DAY 1, a great days shopping had by all.

I purchased 7 birds. They all look great.

I will try and get some pics tomorrow.

I will not be buying 7 birds everyday, this was a one-off.

and I purchased three very nice hens.....all birds, mine and Dave's were very healthy, heavy bodied birds in excellent condition. Photos tomorrow :budgiedance:

Very exciting!!!! looking forward to photos :budgiedance:

Kaz will not let me into the birdroom as the floor is yet to be cleaned - ha ha ha. Funny

Glad you made it Dave and already bought 7 birds, can't wait to see the pics :rofl:

okay, here is the moment you have all been waiting for.

A Grey/Green Cinnamon Cock. He is an '04 bird however he was a gift and he is an excellent father.

Me again!!

Now, these two brothers I am so far calling Dumb and Dumber. The sky blue opaline spangle is the ditzy blonde of the budgie world (apologies to the blondes on this forum), actually they are possibly sky violets

I can perch when I want!!!

I also purchase 3 new birds today. No show cage pics, but they are a grey opaline cock, a grey(maybe mauve) opaline girl, and a sky blue cinnamon wing boy.

I also bought a travel cage. Nice and big, room for plenty more birds.

More pics to come with more purchases.

Looking great! Love the grey spangle that won't perch and the sky blue... the wing markings are great!!

:):rofl::D

What a brilliant shot!!!!

;):rofl::(

You will be coming home with more than me at the rate you are going at!

Great birds too :)

You've bought some good birds there, well done!

From now onwards you need to think about buying birds that have features that these birds don't have so that when you do your pairings they'll compliment each other.

;) OH I LOOOVE Dumb and Dumber, such beautiful birds! I want a baby from one of these! I love the grey scallywag too! He has character. ;)

Thanks for the kind comments.

Renee, I am trying to look at getting good quality birds with a range of good features. For example, the grey opaline male that was in the last lot of purchases has a good head, but not the desired length. Needs a longer mask too. When I pair him up to breed, then I will put him with a bird that will complement him. I am trying to think along these lines. I am not simply buying birds, but rather birds that will fit into what I am doing.

Trish - they are an amazing blue. Everytime I look at them, I say "wow", they are so electric. They have a sister who is not aslong or boofy headed, rarely hens are as boofy as the cocks, but she will not be coming home with me.

Thanks for the kind comments.
