Posted January 7, 200916 yr Hi All, FINALLY I was able to find someone who would let me have a hen - she's my first hen... first show bird, actually... first budgie in reality.... first bird I have ever owned... mmm, I don't have a good track record looking after them, being my first, but I think I will do just fine and now I can say that I have one of the hundreds of thousand that "Liv and I" *have* Henrietta quickly became LEe / LEanne?? after the initials of the Showbreeder before I had a chance to name her, but that's okay. So anyway, she's a plain grey green exhibition budgerigar, who has not been tried because she was the third best of the clutch and the breeder bred from the first two - she's a reject. She's an 07 so its a fitting bird for 007 I say. She is ready to pair up with anyone who will have her. Here's a photo.
January 7, 200916 yr She is a beautiful olive hen, I really like her size and coloring. Good luck with her. You should enter this picture for budgie of the month

I thought I was getting a nice pair for my first two... ended up being two hens I look forward to seeing what you decide to pair her up with Liv got some great birds from Perth   nudge nudge.
January 7, 200916 yr I have my eye on a male for her. I don't think she is olive, but grey green (probably with a dark factor in there to - dark factors and greens confuse me  ) - her tail is black. She is a Loyd Edwards bird, and her father is a stunning grey cock who is one of Loyd's of best birds. Her sisters were stunning and were both used to breed with last season, Henrietta is an ugly duckling in comparison to the rest of her family, she didn't get the mask or the head, but she has not been tried and she may hold the genes to produce something nice. I have already picked a cock for her. its a Dominant pied grey green i got from Kaz. He will compliment her nicely i think David is very happy with her. she is in a quarantine cage out side the kitchen window and he is always looking at her :bliss: Edited January 7, 200916 yr by **Liv**
