Cage Suggestions For The Low Budget?

Featured Replies

I'm totally stressing on this. When I bought my cage 6 months ago it was for 1 bird. It was small but doable 18x11x20. Then came Dave with a tiny quarantine cage and I blew that. And now Pretty has moved in with them. It's way way way too small. They spend the majority of the day out of the their cage but even so.

Problem is totally broke. I've got a $40 budget. I'm in the US so I'm been looking on ebay. The best I can see is $39 for a breeder cage 30x18x18. Will this be big enough? I could always add a 2nd the top later like one enterprising person here who gave me the idea (sorry I forgot who).

I've been looking on craigslist and for sales for about 2 months. Ugh.

Are the epoxy coatings safe. You see tons on them on ebay.

I had no idea when I began. Poor Dave doesn't want to go in at night and I can't blame him.

Thanks for reading.

:bluebudgie: the 30 by 18 by 18 will be great as long as the 30 is the width :(

Yes that's it. I'm glad to hear it. What about epoxy coating? The bar spacing is 1/2 inch so that is good.

Thanks

They sound like the same cages used for breeding by myslef and Kaz as well as many other members here so I'd say they would be fine :)
