Posted March 29, 200520 yr I don't know whether this is in the right place or not. Has anyone got any good Ideas for home-made budgie toys. One below... Honey Seed Bells 3 Egg cups seed 1 egg white 1 spoon honey (as much as you want. The more you add the more they like it) Coathanger wire 1. Bend coathanger wire into hooks 2. Beat eggs till they foam 3. Add honey and seed and stir 4. Line egg cups with foil 5. place hooks in positon and add mixture 6. Bake till cooked- I do 90 celcius for about 120 minutes- low temp and long amount of time works best. Wait until cool, pull of foil and hang up in cage. If they fall apart put in a little dish on the floor of the cage. Opal
March 29, 200520 yr Popcorn strings Get some un salted, un buttered popcorn and cook it. Then get a needle and thread and string the popcorn along the thread. You can also add beads to make it prettier. Then hang it up in your birds cage.

March 31, 200520 yr Firstly, it's funny watching budgies trying to destroy them isn't it???? :(Laughing out loud): Secondly, why on earth would there be PVC glue in a seed bell???
April 1, 200520 yr Firstly, it's funny watching budgies trying to destroy them isn't it???? :(Laughing out loud): Secondly, why on earth would there be PVC glue in a seed bell??? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Because it is "non-toxic" and easy to use Opal
April 1, 200520 yr Well i don't believe that. Surely if you got a seed bell of a reputable (is that the word i'm looking for?) brand name in wouldn't have any bad ingredients in it!
April 1, 200520 yr yeah i have nver noticed a brand name on the seed bells i buy, i do hope they are safe (even though my budgies don't eat them!)
April 2, 200520 yr yea, mine don't go near them. the only way they will eat the is if i crush them up and puit them in the seed bowl(and that kind of defeats the pupose!!)
