Posted January 3, 200916 yr Wondering if anyone out there has any suggestions for a 'aviary name'. I'm starting to make a website for my birds and I want to call it something catchy. My surname is boring (Mason) so not much use. Hoping for *something* budgies or something along those lines.
January 3, 200916 yr Author But we are probably gong to be moving to Gippsland soon so I was trying to avoid anything associated with a place. Thanks though

January 4, 200916 yr yeah go bp i like that heaps to mb really smart ellegent serfisticated and kinda sexy too lol :laughter: MB, what about using what you are / going to / use as your ring name? That way it doesn't matter what you call it / where you are - most people are interested in your birds and how to get hold of them, not what you call yourself, so in my humble view that is more important for the buyer... Stone Mason Budgerigars... chiselled in show quality (yes now I'm being silly) MB budgies, each one sold with a secret handshake.. Grand Poobar budgies???? what's in a name>>>>>
January 4, 200916 yr Author Well it's a long story but my ring letters willactually change this year from what they were last year so I haven't got my new letters yet. I'm hoping to get AQ# for Aquila Aviaries to go with the name :laughter:
January 4, 200916 yr MB what's your ring letters now, Do you know that once you start winning and you change your member name you loose your points. For example I wanted to put Greg's name on my membership last year but I would of lost my points so I am still flying solo until I go into intermediate then I will change because unles I get enough points by then to go up, I go up through time. Something like that
January 5, 200916 yr I thought the letters were your initials... can you have whatever letters you like?
January 5, 200916 yr Author Yes you can have whatever letters you like as long as they aren't already in use The reason I will be changing is because last year Angelic Vampyre and I were registered as a co-operative. Because our interests have kind of become different in what we want to pursue in our birds it is better for us to go our own ways and get our own memberships. I haven't got any real winers rung with the old rings so it was better to do it now before I did :thankyou:
January 6, 200916 yr Do many people do partner ships over here? I noticed a few people do in England.
January 6, 200916 yr Yes Jimmy their is quite a few around Aus that have partnerships but if you dissolve it becomes a problem
January 6, 200916 yr Author Yeah that's why we though t better to do it now rather than a few years down the track
