She's Beautiful, But What Is She?

Hello, I'm home again! After 1 1/2 weeks away, it's good to be back....and we have a new budgie! Lacey joined us while we were in Sydney. Unfortunately, the car was so fully loaded, she had to go straight in with the others without quarantine. They are all on antibiotics at the moment as a precaution, but all are well. We now have five birds from five different breeders, so no inbreeding.

We are hoping to pair Lacey with Twilight (pictured in the fourth photo). Twilight is a georgeous visual violet who I hope is split for recessive pied (small white spot on the back of his head) and maybe opaline as well - he has some colour through his wings.

Please let me know what mutations Lacey has, and what I'd be likely to get if I paired her with Twilight. We have five budgies now- Cloud and Sunny appear to have pair-bonded, Sky is a loner with "sexual health issues", and these two are starting to make eyes at each other  ! So what do people think? :D

She is a yellowface 2 cobalt spanglerecessive ped, a very pretty girl. If he is split recessve you could get some babies the same as her some the same but with a normal wing pattern and some normals, about half the babies should get the yellowface gene :D

She is a spangle rec pied, not sure if she is a yf??? cobalt.

She must be a YF Pearce she can't be cobalt and yellow at the same tme otherwise :)

Forgot to say you may also get regular spangle babies too

Thanks,

The breeder told me that Lacey is a mauve, so has the "dark factor" I'm after. I know it's hard to get the colours to come out right in a photo, but please tell me she has dark factor! At first sight I thought her tummy was dark grey, but it's actually a mauve (violet grey) which looks amazing against the yellow! It sounds like we'll get loads of pretty colour & pattern combinations in the chicks! :)

The blue fellow looks either cobalt or violet. If he is cobalt he is 2 dark factors.

:) Go Twilight! Do you think Lacey has a dark factor too?

Lacey is the rec pied right? She looks cobalt to me so again she has 2 dark factors.

Wow!!! Thanks everyone - looks like I got two beautiful birds with the right goods to have beautiful babies! I couldn't be happier! Thanks again :)

Cobalt is 1 dark factor. 2 dark factors would be mauve
