hi , just had to tell everyone that after 15 days buddy has just started feeding from my hand today,its a great feeling that he is starting to trust me.

for the last 13 days i have been puting my hand into his cage and leaving it there for ten- fifteen minutes, twice a day. i tried putting seed on my hand but he was not intrested in it

i've had millet on the outside of his cage since i first got him but he has not been intrested. the first time he tasted millet was last friday i just put a small piece by his feed bowl, and after a couple of hours he decided to try it. luckly i only put a small piece about ten cm long,because he ate the lot. today i thought i would try millet between my fingers, it took him a long time to get the courage up to eat the millet, easily thirty minutes of moving around the cage but eventully he ate. a great feeling!

got to agree with you all, its a great feeling!

i shall feed him treats like this for the next week, and then start on step ups. but only when he is ready, as he came from the local pets at home, same as petsmart, he was and still is very nervous
