I would like to say a HUGE thankyou to Wayno and Splat who have listened patiently while I asked questions and made decisions over the last few days about the new birds. I finally feel that I am making progress towards breeding show budgies after so long. Over the last few days and in the coming weeks I have arranged to buy a quite a few birds which will form a valuable base for my future show stock, I only hope I can do their previous owners/breeders proud and breed some winners

My best birds are by far the ones I was lucky enough to get at the club raffle this year but there is no way I would have been able to afford to buy them as I am told that atleast a couple of them would be $100+ birds to buy so well out of my price range, otherr than those my show birds have been mediochre at best so some nice birds like yours will make all the difference .

I really hope my birds do you well at the shows once you get established but it does take time.

I will keep you in mine next year when I hopefully I will have even better birds to cull

Oh by the way the biggest lesson I have learnt to date is to try and Buy off one or 2 breeders and try to get a line going.

When I first started I was buying all over the place but now I have learnt and most of my birds come from the one place with 3 three other breeders birds mixed in, but are concatrating on Watson line mainly and Alan Rowe and I have some Henry george in there too.

Yeah I'll have heaps of hens now!!! My focus now is to get a few good normal cocks to balance things a bit, I'm fond of grey spangles so might hunt a few nice big grey normals

I haven't decided my pairings yet so I can try and work something that might produce what you are looking for. I know at this stage you are going more for colour than show type so if there are babies that are 'lesser quality'(but they'd still be pretty good chicks I would hope) that am looking to cull then you can have first pick

hay look what i did i just worked out how to edit :baby: he is /cinjust trying not to get the yellow face or grey green into what im doing with this straned this my mauve grey strand only sky blue cobolt violet and grey in this strands inheritance so want to keep it that way going to add olive or grey green latter down the generation
