Posted December 24, 200816 yr Hello all. :happy-dancing: I am a former hermit crab/praying mantid/herp and lizard hobbyist. After 5 years I am finally able to get another budgie(s). My mom and I apparently suffer from bird allergies and this prevented us from getting another budgie when my former died 5 years ago. December 24, 200816 yr Hello and welcome! You are in the right place to get all your answers. I hope your allergies don't get in the way of enjoying a lovely pet budgie. I am allergic to the dust from my Cockatiels, but i don't let it stop me having 8 of them. Unlike Cockatiels, budgies are among the least dusty parrots and having just one will help too :happy-dancing: Have a great Christmas :28:

December 26, 200816 yr Welocme Hermsta!! Let us know how you go managing the alergies as my son is mildly athsmatic and I'm hoping he doesn't become sensitive to our budgie (so far - so good ). Has anyone considered using air purifiers around their budgies to help stop airbourne dust?
