Hi all i have been given a load of fresh shalot leafs has anyone ever feed these to there Budgies does anyone know if its safe to?

sorry I don't know what a shalot is... it sounds familiar but I can't picture what plant it is...

i thought it was a onion?

thats what wikipedia said too

yay i know something for once! woop woop! im not sure if they could eat it. well i dont think they can eat onions because of the acidity of it but it may not be the same as a shallot leaf?

A shalott is how can i say it ? Its the first stage of a spring onion befor the onion forms

I wouldn't think so, unless anyone else says they have done it without any problems. Onion related things are often bad for animals.

I didnt think u could but the woman that gave them to me stated that her hubby use to feed it to his birds all the time just thought id get some feed back on it thank you all
