December 30, 200816 yr Author My crested baby from my other clutch is the same beautiful shade of violet as this boy (totally unexpected since dad is light green and mum is mauve and didn't look to be a violet carrier) so I think in years to come I will have lots of violet crested
December 30, 200816 yr YAY!!! okay, if I cant have them, when is a good time for me to come pick the baby up then?? :lol2:
December 30, 200816 yr Author That bubba will be a valuable addition to my future breedng BP but I'll give you first dibs if you are still keen on one if I have some to sell next season okay
December 30, 200816 yr So are your cresteds going to be spangles too? Edited December 30, 200816 yr by JimmyBanks
December 30, 200816 yr Author That's the plan, since it doesn't really matter what mutation they are when they get one the showbench as the are classified simply as crested I figure the easiest thing is for me to make use of my good spangle and normal birds to put to my cresteds.
December 30, 200816 yr Author No worries  In the interests of genetic diversity I plan to only keep three of four bubs from each clutch this season so if I am extra lucky and end up with a large clutch with lots of cresteds ths season I'll let you know also
