December 14, 200816 yr They are all pretty much the same but I have been told Elliots brand is good and also wormout gel. I have used both. I also use the ivermectin for water, and the spot on ivermectin too.

December 14, 200816 yr What product have people found is the best wormer out there? Personally I use ivermectin, about every 6 mths. (one drop on the back of the neck - where the bird can't reach it) I have purchased it from my local vet who diluted the dose so its appropriate for birds. It apparently kills all internal & external parrisites. (including mites) I usually make sure that I coincide the treatment with the start of the breeding season so that all birds are in the best condition before breeding. That brings another question about: I noticed ivermectin in the local grain store, but it was in a large bottle suitable for cattle. Has anyone diluted ivermectin themselves? If so, any tips?
