December 15, 200816 yr They look like they travelled very well, Liv. This one is a Jeff Lloyd bird from Henry George bloodlines. Edited December 15, 200816 yr by KAZ
December 15, 200816 yr I have been slow on responding as we had a very busy weekend but Liv your birds that you picked up are gorgeous, congrats and glad you are home safe and sound.
December 15, 200816 yr I dont think Gary A has any culls right now....I asked already for Liv and there wasnt any. But there are birds to be found and I have many contacts. You can also ask on MBC when you know you are coming to tee up some breeders who may have birds and I can make some good introductions for you too :reading:Thanks Kaz will do, when I get around to it, I want to go now to see my son's and Grandkids but at the same time I don't want to leave here, I am torn. I have Henry George Bloodline here too. Liv can you take a couple of pics of the travel box so I can see what it looks like because you bought home a lot of birds it must be roomy.I was guessing it might be a double cage type box as I have seen one once. Lovely birds Liv you should some real nice young out of them, you seem to have a lot of cock birds though. :reading: Edited December 15, 200816 yr by splat

The idea is not to have a roomy cage. The idea is to have a box with no perches and not too spacious so they huddle. Less chance of damaging themselves that way. Mesh on front only and drilled holes all around. Door that screws shut.
December 15, 200816 yr Author So what was your final spend? Need to know howuch I should be thinking of saving before I go and visit Kaz :reading: I don't kiss and tell :reading: Actually i have no idea how much i spent because i didn't keep track. A few hundred or there abouts
December 15, 200816 yr Kaz where's Halls Head from you? Halls head is a suburb of Mandurah and is at least an hours drive from me.
December 15, 200816 yr Author Here is the box they came home in - there was enough room for maybe another 6 birds Its 45cm wide, 30cm deep by 16cm high They all traveled very well as there was no room for fights and it was nice and cozy that they all just huddled together and kept each other safe Here are the birds i missed yesterday, The hens are never as photogenic as the boys A Jeff Lloyd grey green hen from Libby A Cec Gearing Grey green Hen from Kaz A Sky blue hen who is unrung and very average but could help bring some blue to the genetics A grey green hen from Libby - this is the only bird who is looking under the weather from the trip she is getting TLC and i hope she brightens up soon Edited December 15, 200816 yr by **Liv**
December 15, 200816 yr So Liv is there a sliding door on the front so they are in darkness or just left open where the wire is
December 15, 200816 yr Author So Liv is there a sliding door on the front so they are in darkness or just left open where the wire is The open hole is where the door was. It slid in from the side then was locked closed with a screw. Kaz actually used a screw in eyelet which made it really easy to open at home without having to hunt for a screwdriver :reading:

December 16, 200816 yr The birds look great. Hope the last one picks up and starts feeling better soon.
December 16, 200816 yr Liv the birds look great.. I think they will really get you going with a bang.. I usually work on the principle that you sell 8 birds to buy one. So if you sell at $10 a bird you buy at $80. If you can sell 8 birds at $20 you buy at $160.... and so forth.

I sold 8 of my pet types just before i went away for $15 each - and i tried to get a bird for $150, but i was out bid - then i learn after the auction that he was a bargain and should have gone higher
