Hi people, I have a 5-6 week old chick, that hasnt mastered the skill of flying yet, it climbs all over the aviary and walks on the bottom, but no flying.

Is this normal ??

Could be a late bloomer..

 

Has all the flight feather grown? .....

Have you handled it? If not Get it out and have a play with it ... Let it perch on your finger and try the "step up" where you put the other finger ( from the other hand) in front of it and so on .....

 

When mine first fledge 4-5 weeks I put them back in as they weren't all that crash hot on flying but they got the hang of it real quick .....
