Seed Treat Hung By Twist-tie Type Material

Featured Replies

I don't still have the packaging so I don't know who made it. It's a cylinder of birdseeds stuck over a small stick. A thin piece of metal covered in orange plastic like material is over it. I didn't think anything of it until I used a picked clean one to attach a plastic ball. They chew on the twist tie and tear pieces off. I'm worried about them eating it.

But it was bird treat made for birds so you think they would use safe material.

Any thoughts about this?

Thanks,

hmmm... I dunno. You would THINK that it was safe but some people just make stuff and sell it.

I would say that it is designed to be removed once the seed is consumed so the stick part may not be safe for them to chew on, especially if they are breaking pieces off, I wouldn't use it.
