Getting A Puppy

Featured Replies

I have just bought a puppy for my son and i will be picking it up tomorrow night. He is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, after lots of research which feel it is the best breed for my son.

He is not toilet trained so i will have the fun part of trying to train him seeing it is going to be inside the house alot. I will post pics when i bring him home.

My son is very excited about getting his own puppy.

So cool Deb :D, I look forward to pictures. I believe Kaz has 2 of them and they are awesome dogs.

Getting a new puppy is soooooooooo exciting!! I would have a new puppy every week if I could LOL

I cant wait for pics :D

Awwww, he'll be over the moon :)

Personally not my cup of tea but they do have lovely personalities and I'm sure he and your son will be firm friends (although I must admit they are very cute as puppies :D )

Congratulations on your new puppy! See if you can find a local Dog Obedience Club near you, it's so much fun when you have a well-behaved dog to be proud of! You might even get into Dog Agility like me or Tracking and Endurance like my husband! Only costs us $10 per week for the two of us to train two dogs, two classes each so cheap enough at $2.50 per class! Our kids (7 & 9) train rescue dogs for fun too. Your son might even like to teach the puppy some cute tricks! He's very likely to be able to relate to a dog better than to people, I know my daughter does! Good luck ^_^

Congrats:)

Hope you're not buying from a pet store tho (puppy farms and all that). But I guess more and more pet stores are now getting their animals from pet rescue shelters, but then they'll usually put up a sign advertising it...

OMG! I had two Cavies as well (one died a few years ago, the old man - with one eye - is 16 years old and going strong. They are THE BEST family dog. I love them to bits.

KAZ: I love your two, they are adorable! Mine are blenhams.

What a great idea Deb, I hope the puppy and Jadon become best friends.

Love that picture of your pooches Kaz :)

We have got Kasey now and he is so cute. He is a blenheim and is 11 weeks old. Since we got home the kids have been cuddling him heaps but he is not toilet trained so he is in my back screened area and everytime we come inside and leave him he whines. At the moment he is whinging constantly.

Here is pics of my son and Kasey

He's a lovely boy Deb, and a great name :hap: As Cavaliers go he is a very nice Cav. You will have to get into the toilet tranining as Cavs can sometimes not "get it" for a long time. When he wakes up and before and after he eats try putting him on newspaper.

Great photo of Jadon and his puppy

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww  :hap:

SOOOOO CUTE

Congratulations!!!!

I have got newspaper on the ground for him and have been taking him to it. I am hoping he is not going to whine all night or i will have so unhappy neighbours.

He's adorable!!! Have you got a clock that ticks? It helps to pop a small one under he's blanket as it sounds like his Mum's heartbeat and may help him settle at night.

One word Adorable, good luck with the toilet training when I was toilet trainey my puppy Ben, He ate his own poop afterwards so straight after he poops me and my mom would stand behind him and one would grab him and the other would get the poop bag, It was gross but fun, Good luck
