Posted December 4, 200816 yr I made a egg/veggie mix for my keets today and I made way too much. I was just wondering how long (how many days) can I keep it in the frig before I should toss it. I plan to give more tomorrow?? In case you need to know it has egg, shell, seed, carrots, and dark greens in it.
December 4, 200816 yr I mix up a vegetable mix of carrot, beetroot, spinach and parsley with probotics and multi vitamins. I make enough for 3 to 4 days and leave it in the fridge. I use powdered whole egg in the mix but don’t mix it until I use it. If you have yours in the fridge, I’d make up enough for 2 to 3 days.
December 4, 200816 yr My general rule of thumb is three days, max. Depends what it looks and smells like on the third day - I won't eat leftovers out of the fridge after 2 or 3 days, so I won't feed them to my birds either. If you have more than 2 days' worth then take the rest and freeze it. If you put it in individual servings (like in the ice cube tray) you just pop out a cube, thaw, and serve!

I agree with the above but I do believe you need to be careful with egg

Very good point, splat.
