Congratulations, they are beautiful! You and Bella deserve a big pat on the back. I assisted when my labrador Coco had 6 pups and one I had to revive, I had never done it before either and had a vet nurse on the phone for some of it to coach me through. I bet you both are exhausted but a wonderful result indeed! :bliss: :bliss:

P.S. Bella is such a beautiful girl!

Thanks Trish, I think she's gorgeous too! I have edited my post so I'll just re-do it agian.

Bella actually has EIGHT puppies, the last one being a tiny bit smaller than the others but is gaining strength slowly. There were 5 out of the 8 pups born breech and 3 head first. I have never helped deliver pups before but I had done heaps of research on the net about what might go wrong so when I saw the first pup being born back feet first I didnt panic and I think that helped Bella remain calm. She is very attentive to all her puppies and I know will be a fantastic mother!

Thanks so much GenericBlue. I love all my pets and try to give them the absolute best that I can. I took all the pups and Bella to the vets this morning for a check up and he was very impressed with them all. He couldnt get over just how healthy Bella was as well as all the pups! I told him how I'd cut out commercial dog food and give them food like chicken, mince, vegies, bones etc and he said and I quote" Hmm, I might come and live at your house!" All the pups have a lovely shiny coat which might come from the a variety of oils I mix together and added to Bella's food while she was pregnant! Will keep you up to date with more pics soon!

Hi Kaz! Hope you had a very Merry Christmas and all the best for 09!! Bella had 6 boys and 2 girls!

they are beautiful, I just watched a show it is new on APL called "In the Womb" they talked all about 1 wolf, 3 different types of dogs and showed pictures on how they develop from conception to birth it was amazing, I learned so much.
