Posted December 4, 200816 yr My cocker spaniels Monty and Bella are goinig to be parents!! Although I wasnt planning on breeding them just yet they must have been very sneaky and "done it" when I was out. :tut_tut: I just happened to be outside last night grooming them when I noticed Bella's nipples were quite large and she looked a bit plumper than usual. I rang the vets this morning and took her in for an ultrasound and there are at least 6 puppies! I'm going to try and post the photo of the puppies, so give me a while to see if I can do it............. and here they are !! Edited January 15, 200916 yr by KAZ

December 4, 200816 yr Author Congratulations! I love cocker spaniels and their floppy little ears! Great ultrasound pics too! Nice chrissy present for you! :28: Thanks Trish, it will be a fantastic Chrissy present! My partner's not very impressed though, he has had to cancel his holidays. We were going to take my kids away for a week and my parents were going to look after them while just him and I had a week away on our own, but now all that's come to a sudden halt and we're all staying home. But that's okay, we can go away another time. Edited December 4, 200816 yr by jenene283

December 4, 200816 yr On a side note I wish I had lawn like yours!! I know! When I went to New Zealand I just about cried when I drove down the road... Green grass EVERYWHERE. Oh and the Golf Courses *sniff sniff* next time I go I'm packing glof shoes, slacks, collared shirts and my clubs that is all... I didn't know that there was anywhere with Green grass in Australia but apparently jenene283 is the only person with some
December 4, 200816 yr With a lawn like that I'd be camping on it It's taken me over a year but I've managed to expand the one patch of green grass we have from about a metre square to about three metres square, only about another 40m2 to go
December 4, 200816 yr Author We have had a bit of rain lately so that explains why its so green. I seize the opportunity when it does rain and sprinkle fertilizer on the lawn to give it that boost. You might notice in Monty's photo we have a piece of reinforcing used for concreting on the grass. Thats to stop the dogs from digging up parts of the lawn that we've already fixed up where they have dug huge holes. Edited December 4, 200816 yr by jenene283

December 4, 200816 yr Author congrats Jenene, they are beautiful cockers . Thanks Elly, I have always loved cocker spaniels ever since I was little but wasnt allowed to get a dog. Mum and Dad finally relented and bought one (supposedly a pure bred) but when we picked it up from the railway station (way back then that was the easiest way to get anything delivered as we lived way way out in the bush) it was a mixture of lots of different breeds. But it didnt matter I still loved her anyway.
December 4, 200816 yr The first dogs in my life were cocker spaniels. We had two black cockers when I was a baby onwards...they were called Mickey and Minnie
