Posted December 2, 200816 yr Anyone like to guess what I would get from this pair ? They only have two chicks. Edited December 2, 200816 yr by KAZ
December 2, 200816 yr Well theoretically you would get grey green dom pieds and normals, possibly the blue series equivalents if the hen is split possibly grey wings if the cock is split. BUT as we know they could be carrying all sorts of odd things in the split or sex linked mutations so I'm guessing you got something funky or you wouldn't have asked Edited December 17, 200816 yr by Neat
December 2, 200816 yr Author Only two surviving chicks. One is cinnamon blue ( surprise ) and the other is a yellow pin feather stage dom pied
December 3, 200816 yr Author I bet. Don't you wish green wasn't quite as dominant.... I have never been a fan of green as a colour, but I am beginning to appreciate a good green budgie
December 3, 200816 yr I like BLUE surprises when I have a ton of green series birds Nice !!! so how does it work ? is it likely the cock is split for cinnamon and the hen split for blue then ??? surprises are always good

December 3, 200816 yr Genetics is full on as I have 2 grey green birds down one cinnamon the hen and the cock split but by their pedigree their is no blue great great grandparents and that was on the fathers side but I have 2 nest out of them and mostly gray greens but I got a grey and 2 cobalts.
