December 1, 200816 yr Did you use a flash?? Do you remember which one you thought was a hen before the split rings came off?? How do you know there names if you can't tell them apart? Edited December 1, 200816 yr by JimmyBanks

I can figure out who's who if I watch them for a while but sometimes I still get it wrong, It fustrates me. And the one I think is a hen acts like a cock being friendly and kisses, the one I think is a cock acts like a hen and bites
December 1, 200816 yr haha well I am hopeless at picking gender so I'll leave that for someone else... are you planning on putting the old split rings back on them or just getting new ones to put on them??

December 1, 200816 yr the second one does look like a cock, but you did use the flash so cant be 100% sure
December 1, 200816 yr I dont know. when I bought the rings I bought 30 any way, what do you think?? Up to you... for future breeding it can be very helpful to have rings on the birds... It really depends on what you want to use the rings for, somepeople use different colours to signify different mutations and stuff... (ie. Spangles purple, pieds, green...) helps if they are split to something...
December 2, 200816 yr One thing I was told by my partner when I first got into budgies and had a few that looked the "same" to me, was to look at their throat spots. All budgies have unique and different size/numbers of throat spots
December 2, 200816 yr KiwiThe one I thought was a hen OushiThe one I thought was a cock The first photo seems to be the one you first called Oushi as her throat spots are closer to the cheek patches than the other budgie......I checked back on the earlier photos
