Posted November 30, 200816 yr Well AV has shown you hers now here are mine. Unfortunately I wasn't quite as lucky as AV and was drawn second from last in the first two rounds so I didn't get any of the birds I particularly had my eye on but still some nice birds and I am so grateful to the long term members that were kind enough to do this for us At the end of three rounds there were two birds left so they did a lucky draw for the last two and I was lucky enough to receive a fourth so here they are: Edited December 1, 200816 yr by Neat
November 30, 200816 yr Author I think I will probably put him with that bright green opaline hen, they will make a nice pair
November 30, 200816 yr yeah the hen has a bit of flecking but your cock looks like it doesn't have any so that would be good. What is the technical term for your cocks colouring??
November 30, 200816 yr Author he is a grey green cinnamon normal The photo doesn't show it very well but I promise hes cinnamon Edited November 30, 200816 yr by melbournebudgies
November 30, 200816 yr Very Nice MB What club are you in and how does it work because I am going to mention it at my next meeting. It will be good for our beginners too. Edited November 30, 200816 yr by splat
November 30, 200816 yr Wow, what a great prize!! If you have more males than you need, wasn't lullabybudgies looking for a male? EDIT: Oops sorry I meant to put that second line in AV's thread as she got 3. Still its a great prize to get a show budgie, well done.!! Edited November 30, 200816 yr by Hills
November 30, 200816 yr Author The idea splat is that its to help out the beginners who might not be able to afford to get good starter birds. The long term members of the club donated some of their better culls to the cause and then the names of all the beginners wre put in a hat and drawn outone at a time, when your name was drawn you got to pick a bird, once the first round finished a second round started and so on.
November 30, 200816 yr Author This guy: reminds me a lot of my favorite one that died during my first round of breeding
November 30, 200816 yr Looks like the same bird - very spooky Good luck with him Edited November 30, 200816 yr by **Liv**
December 1, 200816 yr wow they are similar! both very good looking birds. and they are both 06 birds... Well MB don't forget to drop yours off to me once you've finished with the breeding program
December 1, 200816 yr Author The only difference is that the new one is acinnamon and the old one wasnt but other than that they could have been brothers
December 1, 200816 yr Just wandering if Alan Rowe or Sheppard & Flanagan were in the club Rowe is United and Sheppard & Flanagan Mountain. OMG you have Borg & Skivington in your club did you manage to get any of their birds? Edited December 1, 200816 yr by splat
December 1, 200816 yr Author I know Phil (Pipi) got some Skivington birds, I'm not sure what the ring numbers mean as far as members. I have breeder codes: NO7, S1 and SV1. They were being very hush hush about which birds belonged to who and of course we couldnt take them out of the cages to check so we just had to pick what we liked the look of
December 1, 200816 yr S1 is Borg & Skivington well done which birds is that? And SV1 is S Vitacca which I haven't heard of
December 1, 200816 yr You will have to ask him for a pedigree now so you know what you have. it will help you decide which way to go in your breeding, I breeding bu pedigree and appearance or what one hasn't I will put with a bird that does.
December 1, 200816 yr Author I was recommended to put her with that grey green cinny normal that looks like my old one Edited December 1, 200816 yr by KAZ
