Posted November 29, 200816 yr Am out feeding and cleaning up the Avaries, and looking towards next years planned Breeding, and have decided to sell some fo my flock. Now this is where I am going to ask for a bit of advice. As some of you know I have what I call the 2 Summers, Creaminos from one Clutch, and in another I have an Albino & Creamino. Now remembering reply to one of my former queries I have held onto the Inos allowing birds to bring out differnt colours. Now the 2 Summers are rather small compared to a lot of the others. (I beleive they come from the same egg, as the day they hatched there was only one opened shell in the nest) and I have sort of decided which I will sell, but would it be advisable to keep the Inos to see what comes from them in late 2009/ early2010. I wish to experiment to widen my knowledge of breeding, but at the same time am not out to breed specific colours, just healthy Birds. . The single photos are of Birds I plan to keep, the overview are of the iffy butty's Edited November 29, 200816 yr by **Liv**
November 29, 200816 yr Do you know if the inos are cocks or hens? Personally I will always hold on to ino cocks as it gives more breeding options in the future
November 29, 200816 yr I agree with MB with the Inos' if any are male I would choose them over a female... easier to get ino hens than ino cocks. That goes for the "summers" as well. Are you asking us which ones we would keep or are you just showing us which ones you want to get rid of and which ones your not sure about? P.S. Thanks for the edit Liv I was having a bit of difficulty seeing all the pics... Edited November 29, 200816 yr by JimmyBanks

Thanks for the edit Liv I was having a bit of difficulty seeing all the pics...The single photos were of the iffy buttys to keep, the overall were just some of the others that are in my flocks, and it is some of them I know I have to get rid ofOh you can flat pack me that spangle guy Is the spangle that Cinnamon & White one. It's a female 99% sure, it is one of the smaller newbies, but I like her too. She come from a white Cock, and the white one with the Darker markings on her back no.9 of the photos. Am interested in comments about (Ronnie) the pale green yf & cinnamon wings too. She is old enough to breed from, and although small she is the only female I kept from my orginal pair who gave me (for pet Budgies) good sized Babies.
November 29, 200816 yr These are the ones I would keep... 1, 3 & 5 I would keep 2 & 4 I'd get rid of. I'd think about keeping 4 depending on if I had any others of a similar colour or not. I'd get rid of the one facing right and keep to one facing up. Hard to tell you which ones I would keep in this photo but there are a couple... the one furthest right... the 2 yellow/greens in the middle. and a couple of others... I'd keep one of these... not sure which one...
November 29, 200816 yr Author These are the ones I would keep... These are the 2 summers This is Ronnie 1, 3 & 5 I would keep 2 & 4 I'd get rid of. I'd think about keeping 4 depending on if I had any others of a similar colour or not. 2 is one of the biggest Cocks I have, he is only about 6 months old 4 is an untried male 1 y.o 5 is a much smaller version of 2 I'd get rid of the one facing right and keep to one facing up. the one facing right(Paula) has to stay I could not sell her and have peace of mind as I know she is a bad bird, (my Husbands choice) she is inbred as far as I can work out she does not fly.Baby is on 3 months old and a mirror of his Dad Hard to tell you which ones I would keep in this photo but there are a couple... the one furthest right... the 2 yellow/greens in the middle. and a couple of others... The nearest yellow green is the big boy mentioned above, so already I have learnt to get individual photos before I ask for help I'd keep one of these... not sure which one... Perhaps I keep them both and say goodbye to the 2 Summers

November 29, 200816 yr Author I love the fact that Kaz knew exactly which one I was talking about Yea: Know exactly how dumb I am, Think I will wear a disguise to my meeting Sunday, so I can hold my head up, and not slink in trying to be invisible. But that little Cinnamon and White one is so different to any of the others barring of course his Mum who is the Creamy one (Photo9) with the Black & Grey back markings on her back and a grey patch on her underbellysounds like you know what you want I wouldn't get rid of the creamino's... I couldn't... To nice.Jimmy I thought you were my friend. I had syked myself to get rid of the Summers and keep the other 2, now I have the yes I will, no I wont syndrome back again. November 29, 200816 yr Author Are 1 and 3 df spangle cocks???Hello, This is me Dumber & Dumber. If the big Yellow and green is spangled what should I be looking for in 1 & 3 Yea: Know exactly how dumb I am, Think I will wear a disguise to my meeting Sunday, so I can hold my head up, and not slink in trying to be invisible.xnannax......... big budgie auction sunday...bring money and a cage.Food....bring a platexmas prezzies....bring a small wrapped gift ( you can wrap the spangle for me if you like )Kaz, Sunday is one fo the reasons I was going to be tough today. Now I am confused, and anyway will be keeping away from you, some of my "DaDa" could be catching . Seriously though I am looking forward to Sunday, and will bring a cage minus "Bravo" plus some goodies
November 29, 200816 yr Might I suggest...any budgies you would like to be identified you pop in a cage and bring along.....will give some of the experts a little diversion and we can all help
November 29, 200816 yr Ummm well I'm not sure what the visual differences between a DF spangle and a DEC... so I'm not sure if they are df spangle or what... they look completely white to me is that right or do they have some colouring??
November 29, 200816 yr Author KAZ that is so nice of you to get it so you can ship it to MB!! Isn't that nice of her MB??? Who is dreaming. He is part of the future breeding plan for me. I want a nice young Lady about 9 months old who has a few more months before thinking of breeding, he can finish growing up, and they can then make babies for me and we will all live happily thereafter. Bravo also wants his mate Charlie to find another nice hen, so he can Father some more O.J's.
November 29, 200816 yr Author Are 1 and 3 df spangle cocks???1 has the palest of mauves to his wing feathers, and 3 is pure white Father to my Cinnamon & creamy White younginMight I suggest...any budgies you would like to be identified you pop in a cage and bring along.....will give some of the experts a little diversion and we can all help I'll give that a thought but unless I do them tonight, I may run out of time in the morning, as the eldest Fur Child has her agility class before I come to meeting so will be up against it a bit. Would they be O.K overnight confined, when they are used to having freedom, I hate the thought of traumatising them.
November 29, 200816 yr Author Have gone and taken photos of some of my hopeful Cocks for my 2009 breeding. Charlie & Bravo My Bachlor George Bliss ][Paul & Bliss Father & Son George has not mated, he is on 4 Y.O, could I try him again. Last time I left him for over a month, could I have left it longer. Charlie & Bravo are my hopeful up and coming Cocks. I realise I have to be careful with them so as not to get blood lines mixed. Charlie has had one Baby to the Bigger Blue (Paula) who does not fly, I do not want to use her again as I feel it could be unwise as I guess the Hatchlings could inherit some of her bad breeding. Bliss is one of my first clutches and over 1y.o have not bred him yet. His mother is pure white and his Dad is with him in one of the photos Edited November 29, 200816 yr by KAZ
