Hi I'm being a curious little kid at the moment. All I'd like to know is why did you name your budgie its name and whats the reason behind the name??

 

 

 

I'll start...

 

Bailey

Well I picked this name for him because I thought it was a really cute name

 

George Jr

I named him this because his dad is called George and George Jr is the splitting image of his Daddy

 

 

Lumina

I called her this because I was obsessed with the name at the time I bought her

 

 

Kiwi

I called her this because she is a Kiwi fruit....nah I named her it because its adorable for her

 

 

Coco

I called her this name because she is a cinnamon and coco is chocolate, yeah I hope you get my drift

 

Toshiro

He is called Toshiro because I made a manga(japanese comic) and I had a male character called Toshiro and just out of luck this little chicky hatched on my characters birthday.

 

 

 

Oushi

She is called Oushi because Oushi is the Japanese word for cow;ox;bull and for some reason she runs at you with her head down, like she's charging.

My Budgies name is Gwapo . That means Handsome in Philippine language

I have Cookie and he was named by member Sunnie

I have Latte because her cinnamon wings reminded me of a creamy latte coffee

Scooter got named because he had issues with his legs but he has recovered now and no longer scoots

My next male budgie i get will be named Dexter - because i love the tv show Dexter :rofl:

My son named ours Ernest (or Ernie for short) as he'd just watched "Ernest goes to school".

 

I'm glad he hadn't just watched Godzilla!! :rofl:

i named mine

melo because of the latin name for budgies melopsittacus undulatus but melo for short. also melo puff because always puffed up or melo yellow because she is yellow.

Lip and Len was going to be a Show me and my brother were going to write... Life with Lip and Len... After my parents... when I got my birds I thought one was male one was female... I was wrong. lo. but the names have stayed.

Storm- Because she was white and grey, and looked slightly like a stormy sky.

Cinder- He is a mauve colour, and in honor of a good friend of mine (it is his username on a computer game lol)

Banshee- When he was a chick, I would hold him every day as I did with his brother. But when I held him, he was usually quiet, but would suddenly start screeching for about 5 minutes straight...extremely loud and seemed to drill right through your head..and then stop again. So that's how he got his name.

Cloud- He was similar to his mother, Storm, and looked like a cloudy sky.

Sunny- Was named by a friend

I have too many budgies with too many names - I am not naming all my babies anymore, just some that their names just "pop" into my head.

Pretty is because he was pretty and we never got away from calling him pretty.

Merlin I picked because wizards wear dark blue clothes and it reminded me of his coloring.
