I've Fallen In Love All Over Again!

I was having a lay down just now to ease my headache. Clinton brought in Lambchop to say hello. I was giving her scratches etc and she was loving it. All of a sudden she started making these little squeeking noises. What does that mean? lol does that mean she likes it?

Anyway, I started stroking her beak and she was closing her eyes so I figured she was loving it, so I kept going, before I knew it, she was having a nap and leaning her head against my hand. It was so sweet! She must've stayed there like that for a good 15 mins :)

Is nibbling on your fingers and fingernails a good thing aswell?

Awwwwwwwww  She is in loooove with you. if she ever bows down, flattening her back and raising her tail it means she wants to take it to the next base :):D

 I'll keep that in mind. I'm over the moon that she trusts me! :D

Another thing... Everytime I walk into the room where she is, as soon as she sees me, she stretches her wings out. Is that some sort of Budgie body language or just coincidence?

She is being a bit well "*****" lol but everything is good :reading:, to ensure her behavior doesn't cause her frustration you can cover her for 12-14 hours for a few days to decrease the behavior if it gets worse. But everything is good and she is coming along great.

I'm sorry, but what behaviour is signs of her being *****? lol. I'm confused. Should I not have stroked her beak like I did?

Just by stroking her can cause that, it is okay :D

I have wondered the same thing re the stretching the wings. Everytime I come home from work and walk in Charley stretches his wings, I've often wondered if thats his way of saying "yippee.. she's home!" :D

He also nibbles all the way up and down my arm and I often wonder if he's looking for a wrinkle to nip or just giving love bites! I'm hoping its the love bites! Happily he hasnt got to the "next stage" yet either!! :D but as you say, isnt it fabulous to feel so loved???

Ahhh okay, had me worried there for a minute :P. Thought I was doing something wrong. I thought she was enjoying it, so much so, that it put her to sleep.

Yeah, she has been doing it for quite some time now, I read from some places that it dosen't mean anything except for that they have been sitting in the same spot for some time and are simply "stretching". I have read in other places that it is their way of saying hello. So who knows? Different people different opinions I spose. I like to think she's happy to see me :D

I didn't know birds could love their owners, until I came across this forum, it's a wealth of information and have learnt so much! It really is wonderful to have an animal love you, not just a Budgie but any animal really.
