I wouldnt! Lorries can be quite agessive to budgies. One quick nip can do some damage to them

I have both and I wouldn't dream of it. My lorikeets I will put in with larger birds(depending on the species) but never with anything smaller as they can be bossy and even when they are just playing can do some serious damage as their beaks are very sharp.

Apart from the fact that its not recommended and that part has been discussed AND I agree with not putting them together ....there has been no mention of the size of the space you are talking about ;)

Many people as they develop a love for other types of birds think they can keep adding them to the ones they have and not always think in terms of a new aviary for a new species to the family.

One must always state the size of space they are thinking of, even if its just about adding another budgie or two. It isnt just about relationships ( although here it is a big part ) adding birds is always about size of space as well.

As an example...we had 7 Princess Parrot Babies fledge into the aviary yesterday. Boy oh boy did that upset the existing parrots. It was chaos in there yesterday as baby Princesses learnt to fly and find their way around. The larger breeding parrots were flustered and didnt know what to do. Obviously too many for our 30 ft by 10 ft by 8 ft tall aviary....we will have to sell the babies to re harmonise the aviary dynamics.

I quite often let Lambchop and Olive (Lorikeet) out at the same time under very close supervision. Olive is actually scared of Lambchop hehe, Lambchop wants to go up and say hello and Olive just runs away and wants to climb all over you.

At the moment seeing as it's getting warmer during the day, I leave them to hang outside out the front of the Kitchen window. Olive has started making the same noises as Lambchop does ;) as well as her coughing, sneezing, kisses and laughing :)

But yeah, I too wouldn't recommend putting Lorikeets and Budgies together unsupervised in the same cage.

How old is Olive Vixen? She sounds quite young still...

Ummmm, I'm not sure, Clinton bought her about 4 years ago and she wasn't a baby back then so who knows? She's such a character.

okay so it would be okay if they were in different cages in the same room indoors?
